Lip Fillers for augmentation & enhancement.

Creating beautiful, natural looking lips.

Lip injections and fillers have come a long way. Today, renowned Melbourne cosmetic physician and expert injector Dr Joni Feldman uses a variety of advanced lip enhancement techniques in her South Yarra (near Toorak, Prahran and Richmond) and Perth clinics to create natural-looking volume in the lips, as well as around the mouth, correcting lines and lifting the corners of the mouth.

Lip fillers for cosmetic inhancement

Lip enhancement involves strategically injecting appropriate lip fillers (dermal fillers) to the lip and the surrounding areas to achieve the following:

  • Enhance the appearance and shape of the lips
  • Add volume or plump the lips
  • Reduce surrounding wrinkles and smokers’ lines
  • Lift the corners of the mouth
  • Increase volume in areas such as the vermillion border, cupids bow

Lip augmentation fillers

Dermal fillers are usually used for injectable lip enhancement. There is a variety of products to choose from, depending on your requirements.

How long do lip fillers last?

Generally speaking, injectable lip fillers last approximately 3 to 18 months. This depends on the type of filler used. It’s best to discuss the options with Dr Feldman as all fillers have their pros and cons and it is best that she chooses the most appropriate filler for your lips.

Lip enhancement procedure

A consultation with Dr Feldman in her South Yarra or Perth clinic is required as the first step, so that you can discuss in detail what you want to achieve with your lips. Dr Feldman’s philosophy is that the enhancement of the lips must be in proportion to the rest of the face. It is crucial to remember that what may look attractive on one face may simply not be possible on another.

The foundations we can build upon are the lips you were born with; they cannot be completely remodelled. Instead, they can be enhanced to form a more defined, fuller and more youthful version of your own lips.

Once the correct lip fillers are decided upon, local anaesthetic is applied to the area. This is usually done in the form of a topical cream or sometimes by local injection. This ensures that the treatment will be as comfortable as possible for you.
