Types of facial fillers
Injectable fillers can treat a variety of cosmetic issues — giving you results that may last for months or sometimes, much longer. These fillers contain mostly hyaluronic acid mixed with analgesia, and typically, are classified as either:
- Augmenting Dermal fillers: treating wrinkles, fine lines and scars
- Volumising fillers: adding volume to cheekbones, temples, jaw bones, chins and even noses.

How dermal fillers help
Our faces aged slowly and subtly. Over time, our faces suffer a loss of volume due to our underlying collagen and natural hyaluronic acid depleting. Fat stores deteriorate and even the bone mass in our faces decrease. This generalised thinning to all components of the face contributes to the general appearance of ageing. With volumising soft tissue fillers, lip fillers and cheek fillers, your face can be filled to make these changes.

Risks
As with any medical procedure, there are risks involved with the use of dermal fillers. Most side effects associated with dermal fillers, such as swelling and bruising occur shortly after injection and many resolve in a few days to weeks.
