The procedure
Dr Feldman chooses tumescent liposuction for all her procedures. This involves injecting into the fat layer a large quantity of fluid containing anaesthetic, a salt solution and medications to minimalise bleeding. Then, using a cannula, she gently sucks the extraneous fatty tissue away.
A few hours after the procedure you’ll be able to return home with some light painkillers (such as paracetamol) and oral antibiotics.
Arms, compared to thighs or tummy, tend to heal quickly after liposuction, so relatively minimal downtime is required.
